Who We Are:
Until November 2023, NC Equipment Solutions operated for 40 years as a division of Nor-Cal Beverage Co., a family-owned co-packing company with a history spanning back to 1937. Before Nor-Cal was acquired in January 2024, President & CEO Shannon Deary-Bell and her son Riley Bell separated the Equipment Solutions division into NC Equipment Solutions, Inc., keeping ownership within the founding Deary family.
Our family culture and values are what sets us apart from others in the industry. Our employees take pride in being part of our team and continue to stay with us long-term. Many of our employees have worked with us for over 10 years, with numerous here 20+ years, compared to the (pre-COVID) 2018 U.S. average of just 4.1 years in our industry. In MBA terms, we maintain a wealth of intellectual capital. In NC Equipment Solutions terms, our people know what they’re doing and they like doing it!
Equipment Solutions started in the early 1980s as a complimentary arm to Nor-Cal’s distribution business; customers we delivered products to would have a hard time selling it when equipment didn’t work!
Noticing a gap in the market for reliable service, particularly around beverage equipment, Nor-Cal began offering an in-house team of experienced technicians. And as their portfolio of Co-Packing Customers grew globally – including Coca-Cola, Arizona Tea, Monster Energy, and Red Bull – Equipment Solutions remained rooted & committed to local Mom & Pop operations, while also growing to service major brands such as 7-Eleven, Circle K, Quik Stop, and nationally franchised-restaurants! Our specialties stretched beyond beverage systems, incorporating refrigeration, ice machines, and hot & cold food equipment.
Aside from co-packing, Nor-Cal Beverage was a major beer distributor for more than 50 years, working with leading brands such as Anheuser-Busch, Corona, and Sierra Nevada. Representing first-class brands demanded Nor-Cal have a top-notch technician team specialized in beer systems. When the beer distributorship sold in 2014, this team remained as a natural extension of Equipment Solutions. Today our beer team services over a thousand customers, ranging from simple at-home units to complex, stadium-stretching systems. In keeping with our distributorship roots, we also offer private label and Coca-Cola Bag-in-Box syrup!
